Without an account
You can play without an account. Your progress and statistics then stay in your browser (local storage) and are never sent to us.
Each answer you submit is recorded anonymously, with a random identifier generated by your browser, to show the “most guessed answers” of each puzzle. It contains no personal data.
Your IP address is never stored. To limit abuse, we only keep a fingerprint of it that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you.
With a Google account
If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your account identifier, your name, your email address and the link to your profile picture. We never receive your password.
We store this information along with your progress (your answers for each puzzle) so that you can find your games and statistics on all your devices.
Your data is never sold or shared with third parties.
Friends and leagues
Your friends can add you with your email address. Your email address is never shown to other players: they only see your name and profile picture.
In a league, all members see each other’s name, profile picture and results (number of tries, won or lost) for the puzzles played since the league was created, but never the names you guessed.
Anyone with a league’s code or link can join it. You can leave a league or remove a friend at any time.
Cookies
A session cookie keeps you signed in (only if you use a Google account). A language cookie remembers your choice if you switch between English and French.
We use Google Analytics to measure the audience of the site.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your account and progress are kept until you delete them. You can delete your account at any time from the account window (profile icon at the top of the page): your account, your progress and your sessions are erased immediately.
Anonymous answers are kept to compute the statistics of each puzzle.
